Case Studies

To illustrate our work, while preserving our clients confidentiality, we offer the following case studies.

  • Sporting Trust - This client initially approached us for a membership database application, to work alongside what they already had. The requirement was that ultimately multi-users around the country, from remote locations, with suitable data entry and enquiry access should be able to use the system easily, while satisfying additional central needs and legal requirements. Our solution, in partnership with a specialist in that field, more than satisfied all of their expectations within a realistic budget. Our proposal also yielded cost savings from more efficient processing of tax refund claims in accord with their charitable status.

  • Marketing Company - This small client needed a more advanced accounting solution, as an upgrade from Quickbooks, with computerised payroll.

Pastel Accounting V6 and Pastel Payroll were implemented, as single user systems until growth demands additional users for one or both. The time saved following implementation has yielded an early payback, with improved analysis of trading results while allowing more time to be devoted to other duties.

  • Marketing Company - This slightly larger client initially approached us with a stated need for a Contact Management application. Analysis of their total requirement proved that they really needed something more sophisticated to make the progress that they demanded. Our solution, in association with Hansa Business Solutions, yielded integrated work flow control and remote customer access to the progress of their own jobs via the internet, complete with automated supplier chasing for delivery of materials or services. Unlike the alternative proposals considered, ours involved only minimal bespoke requirement to meet their needs, and could thus be demonstrated early in the evaluation cycle.

  • Service Organisation - This quite small client needed a Contact Management tool to track their marketing activities, and assist with organising their affairs while operating with their existing Sage Line 50 accounts package, recently acquired. Our solution, delivered by a recommended specialist, was a fully integrated implementation of ACT!, supplied with appropriate training and an upgrade module to Line 50 to meet their needs into the foreseeable future. This proves that we retain an open mind, and propose competing products if they provide that elusive 'right solution'!
